Lately, I've not been posting due to the Christmas period and New year, i guess spending time with relatives you haven't spoken to for years takes up alot of time.
Lately, I’ve let College weigh me down with all the work i’ve got to do but i guess it’s my own fault for not doing things staight away! I've just had no motivation at all to do anything. Whereas uni stands, I have an interview with Huddersfield next Tuesday and one with university of creative arts near Epsom on the 17th!(studying Fashion Journalism) Wish me luck, haha.

Rihanna for Topshop deal
It has emerged today that Rihanna has signed a deal with Sir Philip Green as the latest celebrity to design a collection for Topshop. Rumour has it that Rihanna had dinner with Green on boxing day where she signed a deal.
Rihanna at fashion show.
Rihanna's laid back Caribbean style mixed with high fashion from the fashion capitals of the world, obviously caught Sir Green's eye and helped him make this decision. However, There are plenty of other celebrities whose style is frequently emulated by women globally. Perhaps someone like Cheryl Cole. Rihanna's look though has cemented her as one of fashion's latest icons.

Shopaholic within us all.
I wouldn't say this post was about 'shopaholics' because they shop until they drop, which i shall be doing plenty of after Boxing day(end of the year sales are great).
Today i came across a bargain in which is rare for me to come across.
3 Deck Chukk boots by Marc Ecko
I found these beauts, 3 Deck Chukka Boots, for onnly £25 the RRP was 95 and well that is a good bargain in my eyes.
I finally gave in and bought this T-shirt from work, which is from the collection Pearly King. If you haven't heard of Pearly king look it up, (http://www.blueberries-online.com/brandcategorylanding/1282/330/pearly-king-mens/pearly-king-mens.html) i think it's a great collection. They have a thoroughly stylish range of men's tops, shirts and jeans which are all purposely designed for the modern urban man to wear, whatever it is he is doing.
'
Reinvented' T-shirt by Pearly King
Reinvented' T-shirt by Pearly King
With Pearly King designer clothing, the real devil is in the detail. When you purchase clothing from this range I think you can be confident of getting the absolute best in terms of quality.
The men’s clothes in the ‘Pearly King’ collection certainly live up to their name. If you are looking for top notch regal regalia with royal carriage-loads of style and elegance, then you have certainly found the right place. The elegant tops, shirts and jeans in this designer range are all fit for a (Pearly) King.
Let's see if i give into tempetation tomorrow at work with buying this Unconditional shirt! OH dayum.
Peace out x

University applications
Recently i had to write an essay for my University of creative arts application to determine whether or not i got an interview with them, well i got the interview.
The question we had to answer was 'You are deserted upon a desert island, if you could subscribe to one monthly publcation, which one would it be and why?'.
Well i decided to do a big plan and brainstrom ideas on my three choosen magazines, Love, Vogue and I-D.
This is what i came up with -
"I would Choose I - D because i believe in the words :
“Fashions fade, style is eternal.” - Yves Saint Laurent
From the age of 15, I have always been fascinated by the distinctive graphic cover of I - D, with the logo made to appear like a ‘winky’ face, since that age I have always tried to make it my task to buy each new cover.
I believe I-D encompasses the ideology that style is eternal and the fantasy of fashion, how by reading an article or looking at a page on clothes can whisk you away from whatever situation you may be in, you can imagine wearing the clothes and feeling glamorous or outlandish like some of the models and celebrities. In the pre fall 2010, 30th birthday issue, ‘Then, Now and Next’ was the theme throughout this issue, it had Lady Gaga on one cover wearing a black body suit and Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell upon the other two issues and all three are clearly shown sporting the iconic ‘wink’ which has been seen throughout the previous issues. Within this issue there were over 300 interviews with celebrities and iconic figures of our generation, I believe by I - D following this idea it highlighted their focus upon individualism and identity. It can give you brand new ideas to help boost your own style , even if you are stuck upon a desert island.
To be stuck upon a desert island I imagine, i would be very lonely and be isolated from the outside world, I would see this as being like Harry Potter and when he returns to his muggle(non- magical) family in the summer and his only communication to his friends and the magical world would be his owl. This would be very similar to my experience upon a desert island.
When I am relaxing upon the desert island or when I am fighting for survival, to see the pigeon post flying towards me would be a relief. Suddenly, I wouldn’t feel as alone as I did previously as the bird brings me my brand new copy of I - D, something that will fill my mind with creative ideas and I believe it would keep me up to date upon fashion, music, art and more importantly youth culture. By having this publication sent to me it would allow me to have a minute communication link with my own generation."

Style watch
I've notice on someblogs people tend to post what they wear or have bought. So me, myself and my blog have decided to do a style watch on what i have worn on days out etc, to help give you an insight to my style. :)
So Today for work i wore -

So Today for work i wore -
Black low crotch chinos from H&M, Black Boots, H by Hudson.
Round necked cotton T-shirt, Zara. Cream Knitted Cardigan,G Star Raw
Long drape jacket by River Island
Today at work has been such a hetic and busy day, I only recently started working at a shop called Blueberries ( a designer boutique store). With the build up to Chirstmas and the sales it just seems to get abit stressful but hey i still love the job!
The walls in these pictures appear so plain and boring but i promise the other four walls within my room seem to be covered with posters and artwork, ha. Recently, I've been listening to iamiamwhoami, Jonna lee seems to be such an interesting character, i find her more intriguing than Michael Alig and thats saying something.

Obssession setting in.
I've finally got around to creating a Blogspot, I think this site would be resourceful to me in the way i can use it to talk about things i am interested in and hopefully blog things from time to time.
I guess the idea of Blogging grabbed my attention when i started using Tumblr and then came across the Jak & Jil Blog, which i adore and other fellow fashion bloggers.

I wont be using this to say I'm some individual like some bloggers, I've come across. I believe that in today's society it is much harder to get noticed and to say 'You're original or individual' is rather naive in away.

Peace out x
